Michael Masters, director of Public Safety at Dalton State, recently completed the University System of Georgia’s first Chief’s Leadership Initiative Program provided by USG Safety and Security.
During the program, public safety directors in the USG met at different institutions and learned about several topics including ethics, employee supervision, department management, and community oriented policing.
“I was fortunate to be chosen to be a participant in the first program,” Masters said. “The skills learned and contacts made will assist me in leading our Public Safety Department at Dalton State.”
The Board of Regents recognized the graduating class at its January meeting.
